The founder, Mr. Huang Shou-Hsiung, lost relatives due to drinking contaminated, which sparked a strong sense of mission to provide high-quality water supply systems.

In the early days, Mr. Huang was self-taught, engineering fundamentals and developed pump designs by hand. Nearly 60 years on, that spirit lives on. Walrus Pump has grown into a company with a fully integrated service value chain, dedicated to delivering reliable, high-quality water solutions.

1967

Founded in Binjiang Street, Taipei, Taiwan.

1978

The first factory was established in Bali, New Taipei City.

1982

Compact domestic water pump released.

1984

Brand Building

The red branding for the Taiwan domestic market and the walrus identity for exports.

1984

TP8 series released.

1989

The company relocated to Sanzhi, New Taipei City.

1990

Advanced plastics processing technology.

1995

Bosch FAS adopted.

1999

TPH series released.

2000

Business Transformation

Joined the SME Management Consulting Program by SMEA, leading to a brand identity refresh.

2000
