Is There Any Difference Between WALRUS PUMP’s Models With and Without “B” ?

My old pump recently needed replacing, and I chose the same Walrus brand. After installation, the technician pointed out that the new model number ends with a “B,” while my previous one didn’t. Did I choose the wrong model? Are there any functional differences?

Ans:

  1. You did not choose the wrong model. For Walrus Pump products, a model number ending in “B” indicates antibacterial functionality.
  2. Since 2020, all Walrus Pump Domestic pump series have been upgraded to antibacterial. Products without a “B” are older versions.
  3. Walrus Pump is the world’s first and only residential pump brand with antibacterial features. Silver ions (Ag⁺) are incorporated into the pump housing, and testing by SGS has shown effective inhibition of 99% of E. coli, 87% of Staphylococcus aureus, and 95% of Bacillus subtilis, helping provide a cleaner water experience.

Note: The antibacterial function inhibits the growth of bacteria; it does not sterilize or kill bacteria.
